Meet Terry
Hi there, I’m Terry. I’ve been part of the area rug industry since 1982.
Over the years, I’ve gained valuable experience from reputable area rug dealers in Montreal and Ottawa and have learned to distinguish the characteristics of many rug patterns, weaving, finishes and dyes, passing on that knowledge to staff and customers. As a family business, we’ve been operating in Ottawa since 2001. Offering a sizable selection of area rugs, we are also experts in services such as cleaning (hand washing) and repairs of all Oriental and Modern Area Rugs.

This is the only rug store I go to. Great prices, friendly, professional and knowledgeable staff, quality rugs, and a nice no-pressure atmosphere. I have bought and tested several rugs as well as get two rugs cleaned and repaired (one being a huge 9x12). I have never had a bad experience here and they always do great work. I’ll be back!
They saved my rug! After an unfortunate episode with my very sick dog I was sure my rug was ruined. We rented a carpet cleaner from home depot to try and do it our selves but that only made things worse. Now I had a dirty, slightly wet, and mildew smelling rug. Terry's rug to the rescue! My rug is brighter and softer than it has been in years and not a stain in sight. Service was quick, price was reasonable and I couldn't be happier.
Terry’s Rugs has a great selection of affordable rugs and I was able to find the perfect rugs for my dining room, bedroom and home office on budget. But what sets this business apart is the service. The staff took their time helping me select the right colours and sizes and then insisted that I take six rugs home to try out - without paying for them. I didn’t want to return even one but I didn’t have the space for them. Thank you for the beautiful rugs and the outstanding customer service. I’ll return again!
We stumbled upon Terry's after wasting an entire Saturday looking at big box stores for area rugs. Terry's is a small, unassuming store that is jam packed with high quality area rugs. Within minutes we found multiple, well-priced rugs that we were interested in, and we even got to take them home to see them in our space. What a concept. Don't waste your time going to other stores, just go directly to Terry's.
I was looking for rugs of a high quality and untypical design, having visited many stores already to no avail. When I entered Terry Rugs I was captivated by the art that was visible in each one of the rugs on display. Aspects of different cultures are shown in the beauty of each one. The quality of rugs is also top notch and the prices are very affordable. To top it off, the service that I received was excellent! I had the opportunity to compare and choose from rugs on display in addition to their catalog to select the one that was the best for my home.
